Welcome to Young Life’s Alumni and Friends online community (the “Site”). This Site is intended for the use of adult alumni and friends only. Young Life licenses this online community from Blackbaud Internet Solutions. By using this Site, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions and the privacy policy concerning use of this Site. Please read them carefully. These Terms and Conditions may be revised by updating this posting.

Acceptance of Terms

This Site is provided as a service to you subject to your review and acceptance of the following Terms and Conditions of Service.

Privacy Policy

This Site is concerned about your privacy and has developed a policy to address privacy concerns. Please see the full privacy policy.

Passwords, Security and Your Registration Obligations

In return for use of this Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any password(s) you are given to access the Site and are fully responsible for any and all activities that occur under your password(s). You agree to notify the Site immediately of any unauthorized use of your password(s). The administrators of the Site are concerned about the security of personally identifiable information collected from you and have taken reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access to that information. In some cases, information is pre-loaded onto the Site.
By setting up your account on this Site, you are making the following commitments regarding your account:

• You will not provide any false personal information, or create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission.
• You will not use your personal profile for your own commercial gain.
• You will not use this Site if you are less than 13 years of age.
• Minors who are 13 years of age, or older, should ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet. (Note: The Young Life Alumni and Friends website is intended for the use of adult alumni and friends only.)
• You will not use this Site if you are a convicted sex offender.
• You will keep your contact information accurate and up-to-date.
• You will not share your password, let anyone else access your account or do anything else that might jeopardize the security of your account.

By setting up your account on this Site, you are making the following commitments regarding other people’s rights:

• You will not post content or take any action on this Site that infringes or violates someone else’s rights or otherwise violates the law.
• The administrators of this Site can remove any content or information you post on this Site, especially as it pertains to someone else, if they believe that the content violates this Statement.
• You will not use Young Life’s copyrights or trademarks or any confusingly similar marks, without our written permission.
• If you collect information from other Site users, you will: obtain their written consent; make it clear that you, and not this Site, are collecting their information; and, post a privacy policy explaining what information you collect and how you will use it.
• You will not post anyone’s identification documents or sensitive financial information on this Site.

If you do not comply with the points above, or with any other item(s) in this Statement, the Site administrators have the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Site.

User Conduct 

This Site contains e-mail services, message boards, news, events, personal profile web pages and other communication services. You agree to use these services only to post, send, and receive messages and materials that are proper and, when applicable, related to the particular communication services.
You agree that when using the communication services you will not:

• Use the services in connection with surveys, contests, pyramid schemes, chain letters, junk e-mail, spamming, or any duplicative or unsolicited messages, commercial or otherwise.
• Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights, including, but not limited to, the rights of privacy and publicity of others.
• Publish, post, upload, distribute or disseminate any inappropriate, profane, defamatory, obscene, indecent, or unlawful topic, name, material or information.
• Upload, or otherwise make available, files that contain images, photographs, software or other material protected by intellectual property laws, including, but not limited to, copyright or trademark laws (or by rights of privacy or publicity) unless you own or control the rights thereto or have received all necessary consent to do the same.
• Use any material or information, including images or photographs, which are made available through the Site in any manner that infringes on copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other proprietary right of any party.
• Upload files that contain viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, corrupted files, or any other malicious code or similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another’s computer or property of another.
• Advertise or offer to sell or buy any goods or services for any business purpose, unless such communication services specifically allow such messages.
• Download any file posted by another user of a service that you know, or reasonably should know, cannot be legally reproduced, displayed, performed and/or distributed in such manner.
• Falsify or delete any copyright management information, such as author attributions, legal or other proper notices, or proprietary designations or labels of the origin or source of software or other material contained in a file that is uploaded.
• Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the services.
• Harvest or otherwise collect information about others, including e-mail addresses.
• Violate any applicable laws and/or regulations.
• Create a false identity for the purpose of misleading others.
• Solicit log-in information or access an account belonging to someone else.
• Post content that is hateful, threatening, pornographic, or that contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.
• Use, download, or otherwise copy, or provide, whether or not for a fee, to a person or entity any directory of users of the services or other user or usage information or any portion thereof.
• Interfere with, or disrupt, the service or servers or networks connected to the service, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the service.
• Violate any code of conduct or other guidelines, which may be applicable for any particular service.
• Post material that advocates beliefs and behaviors that are in conflict with Young Life’s Mission and Vision and Statement of Faith.

Special Provisions for International Users

Due to the global nature of the Internet, you agree to comply with all local rules regarding online conduct and acceptable content. Specifically, you agree to comply with all applicable laws regarding the transmission of technical data exported from the United States or the country in which you reside.
By using this Site, any user residing outside of the United States:

• Explicitly consents to having your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.
• If located in a country embargoed by the United States, or if you are on the United States Treasury Department’s list of Specially Designated Nationals, you agree that you will not engage in commercial activities on this Site or operate a Platform application or website.

Content Submitted to This Site

You agree that all user information and transactional data received or collected by this Site is the property of this Site. By uploading, e-mailing, posting, publishing, or otherwise transmitting content to any forum or submitting any content to this Site, you automatically grant this Site a perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, transmit and distribute such content in any form, medium, or technology now known or developed in the future. This Site shall have the right to remove any content that violates the terms of service, or is otherwise determined as objectionable. The administrators of this Site will have the sole right to remove any such content. By using this Site you agree that once you submit or transmit any such content to this Site you give up your rights regarding whether what you submit or transmit remains on this Site.

You agree to indemnify and hold this Site, its administrators, Young Life, Blackbaud Internet Solutions,  and their officers, directors, employees and agents harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses or expenses, including, but not limited to, attorneys’ fees, made by any third party due to, or arising out of, your content, your use of service, your connection to the service, your violation of the terms of service, or your violation of any rights of another.

No Resale of Service

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, re-sell, or exploit any portion of this Site, use of this Site, or access to this Site.

Modifications to Service

This Site reserves the right, at any time and from time to time, to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the service, or any part thereof, with or without notice. You agree that this Site shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the service.

Termination of Use

You agree that the administrators of this Site may, at their sole discretion, at any time terminate your access to this Site and any account(s) you may have in connection with this Site. You agree that this Site shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your access to the service.
If you violate this Statement, or otherwise create possible legal exposure to Young Life and this Site, we can terminate your access to this Site. We will notify you by e-mail or the next time you attempt to access your account that your access has been terminated.
You may delete your account, or disable your application, at any time.

This Site may provide links to websites and access to content, products and services from third parties, including, but not limited to, users, advertisers, affiliates and sponsors of this Site. You agree that this Site is not responsible for the availability of, and content provided on, third-party websites. You should refer to the policies posted by other websites regarding privacy and other topics before you use them.
If you choose to purchase any products or services from a third party, your relationship is directly with the third party. You agree that this Site is not responsible for the quality of third-party products or services and fulfilling any of the terms of your agreement with the seller, including, but not limited to, delivery of products or services and warranty obligations related to purchased products or services.
